Assessment of Non-Response on Estimation Procedure in Sampling Survey

S. Krishna, S. Suman, G.N. Singh

Abstract

This manuscript assess the impact of non-response on estimation procedure in estimating the population mean under simple random sampling scheme when survey suffers from non-response problem. To handle the non-response problem, estimators have been suggested for population mean using sub-sampling technique of non-respondents with the support of auxiliary information. The properties of the suggested estimators have been studied. The empirical studies as well as simulation studies have been carried out to show the performance of proposed estimators over existing estimators such as mean, ratio and exponential type estimators under non-response.
