Numerical Modling of Film Condensation In a Vertical Tube by Mixed Convection from No Stationary Flow of Gas-Vapor Mixture

Y. Belkassmi, K. Gueraoui, N. Hassanain

Abstract

In this paper we propose a numerical modeling of heat and mass transfer by mixed convection of the condensation of a refrigerant in the presence of no condensable gas flowing in a vertical tube. The flow is no stationary, the wall is maintained at a constant temperature. The transfers in the two phases are governed respectively by the classical equations and that of mixed convection. At the interface, the transfer’s are coupled by the equality of constraints shear and that of flux density of heat. The problem was solved numerically by the finite difference method implicit, The Results are mainly presented in the form coefficient of thermal transfer presented by the Nusselt number, the thickness of the film and the condensation rate for in the case of stationary flow. The effects of different influential parameters namely the input Reynolds number, the input pressure and the temperature effects will illustrated.
