A Numerical Method for Solving Fuzzy Differential Equations

A. Khastan, Y. Seif

Abstract

In this paper, we propose a novel numerical method for solving fuzzy differential equations with generalized differentiability. The algorithm proposed here is based on a Generalized Characterization Theorem of ODE. Using the Generalized Characterization Theorem we can translate a fuzzy differential equation into two ODE systems. By a new numerical method, we obtain two approximate solutions of first order fuzzy differential equation. A numerical example is presented and discussed.

Keywords

fuzzy differential equations, generalized differentiability, generalized characterization theorem, trapezoidal rule
