Revised Fuzzy Simplex Algorithm for Linear Programming Problems with Fuzzy Variables Using Linear Ranking Functions

S. H. Nasseri, B. Khabiri

In this paper, we propose a revised fuzzy simplex algorithm for solving linear programming problems with fuzzy variables. This method proceeds through the same steps as the simplex method but keeps all pertinent information in a smaller array. Furthermore, the new algorithm will be useful for sensitivity analysis when using the primal simplex tableau. Finally, we give an illustrative example to show the advantage of our method.

Fuzzy simplex method, linear programming with fuzzy variables, ranking function, trapezoidal fuzzy number.
