Water Resource Usage and Air Pollution in Transitive Countries the case of The Republic of Moldova

Abstract



The paper focuses on the ecological aspects of a transitive economy on the case of the Republic of Moldova. We find that there are objective tendencies in water resource use and air emissions that are specific for this region and affect the ecological situation. The development of industrial production and agriculture is significantly linked with water resource usage and air pollution.
