The analyze of the employees motivation methods in environmentally friendly organizations

Peter Karácsony

Abstract

The issue of motivation is one of the most complicated and critical elements of organizational operation. Although several major theories and models related to this issue have come to light, there are still no motivational methods to guarantee full success. The reason for this is that inner emotional phenomena and capacities of the individual play a part in the motivational process, and at the same time the inner culture and the atmosphere of the organization play the same role.
The research investigates effective methods and practices for motivating workers. The main objective of the study is to determine which are the motivation methods that have the biggest impact on workers’ satisfaction in environmentally friendly organizations. The data collection was realized between 2013 and 2016 by the method of questioning, in person, and electronically. The questions were developed in order to provide information regarding: the type of motivation used in the evaluated organization, worker satisfaction with the offered benefits, and their requests. Descriptive statistics (such as frequencies and percentages) and Pearson correlation coefficient were used to answer the research questions. Environmentally friendly organizations prefer in their production process those guidelines and policies that claim reduced, minimal, or no harm upon ecosystems or the environment.
