Ecological Modernization of the Transport System in Sumy for Green Growth of Economics

The questions of asesmment of ecological modernization potential of transport companies for «green» growth of economy are discussed. The authors identified the main issues of components of potential of ecological modernization. All these components are to provide the forming of market, ecological, innovation and social goals. The authors proposed to consider innovative potential of ecological modernization as part of the capacity of locals for the formation of necessary possibilities for greening. The authors highlighted that the government have to act decisively in the direction of the development of bicycle transport,and the market is a stimulator of the innovation process throughout the transport system. In the article the authors estimated the level of ecological modernization potential of Sumy transport system. It is proved that the essential lack of attention is paid to the components of ecological modernization potential. The greatest impact on its development has the market component and the organizational and technological components (new purchase of vehicles, creating a single dispatch service of bicycle transport). According to the results the potential of bicycle transport enterprises is generally high in Sumy.
