Assessment of soil loss and nutrient depletion due to Climate Change Impact in the SongKhram Basin, Thailand

The main objective of this study is to assess amount of water, sediment and nutrient load in Songkram River Basin in future impacted by climate change implementing A2 and B2 emission scenario of IPCC. In this study, SWAT model was considered a hydrological prediction and PRECIS model was applied to generate weather data in future. Runoff water and suspended sediment measured by Royal Irrigation Department were employed to calibrate and validate the models. Moreover, concentration data of Nitrogen (N) and Phosphorus (P) obtained from Regional Environment office 9 Thailand and the collected field sampling from 2012 to 2013. The result of year 2009 to mid-century found that the average annual run-off including sediment and nutrient were increased in both scenarios, but the studied result of B2 scenario with environmental preservation was less than A2 scenario.
