Kayerbek Rafkatovich Argimbayev, Maya Olegovna Bovdui, Kristina Vladimirovna Mironova

Abstract

Tailing dumps belonging to iron ore mining and processing facilities have an extremely negative impact on the environment, but at the same time under conditions of mineral resources depletion they are a potential source of raw materials. In this regard, the issue of involvement in the exploitation of iron-containing tailings is very important. This article considers existing technologies of exploitation that are used today throughout the world, dependencies of the material composition impact on washability were obtained, results of laboratory studies on recovery of useful components from dressing plant tailings, and further pelletizing and briquetting thereof are presented.
