Radon integral transform on sparse rectangular grid

K. Ya Kudryavtsev, D. M. Mikhaylov

Abstract

This paper presents new algorithm of Radon integral transform on sparse rectangular grid. Formulas for the case of two dimensions and Cartesian coordinate system are provided. The algorithm is based on the search of intersection points of the basic rectangles of integration line sampling field and finding values of the integration function by linear approximation at the points found. Studies have shown that the proposed algorithm provides higher accuracy of calculations. Compared with the method of the MatLab 7.0 which uses the «point-mass» algorithm the absolute error is approximately 2.5 - 3 times less.

Keywords
