Homotopy Analysis Method for solving Counter current imbibition phenomena of the time positive fractional type arising in heterogeneous porous media

V. P. Gohil, Ramakanta Meher

Abstract

In this paper, counter- current Imbibition phenomenon of time positive fractional type in homogeneous as well as heterogeneous porous media is discussed. Homotopy analysis method is used here to study the saturation rate for both homogeneous and heterogeneous porous media. A detailed discussion of saturation rate for both time positive fractional type and integer type has been done with dimensionless time and a comparison study has been done with its physical interpretation by using mathematica software.

Keywords

counter- current Imbibition, Homotopy analysis method, homogeneous, heterogeneous
