Adomian Decomposition Sumudu Transform Method for Solving Fully Nonlinear Fractional Order Power-Law Fin-Type Problems

Trushit Patel, Ramakanta Meher

Abstract

In this paper, the temperature distribution of a straight rectangular fin with power-law temperature dependent surface heat flux is discussed and the variation of temperature for different levels of nonlinearities has been analyzed. An advanced analytical method i.e. Adomian decomposition sumudu transform method is used to study the temperature distribution for all cases considered here. The results obtained through this method has been compared with other available results obtained through Homotopy perturbation method, Variational iteration method as well as exact solution for integer value of α and shown that it is a powerful solution technique in the analysis of fractional order power-law fin-type problems.

Keywords
