Unsteady Heat Transfer Boundary Layer Solutions of Polar Fluid

M. Ferdows, Masahiro OTA

Abstract

The paper examines the boundary layer flow behavior of unsteady polar fluid with heat transfer over an infinite plate. The governing non-similar equations are obtained by introducing a suitable transformation and are solved numerically by Nachtsheim-Swigert iteration technique. We have investigated the influence of Grashof number, Prandtl number, Co-efficient of gyro-viscosity, Dimensionless material properties, Eckert number and constant on the fluid velocity, angular velocity and temperature profiles. The effects of these parameters within the boundary layer are presented with the help of graph.

Keywords
