Sumo Architecture Using Uml Diagrams

A. Gounni, N. Rais, M.Azzouzi Idrissi

Abstract

SUMO (Simulation of Urban MObility) is a free and portable software package with a set of applications for continuous microscopic simulation and traffic management of large road networks. Most of the references or documentations available concern just the use side of sumo and structure’s documentation is weak or almost non-existent, hence the need for a baseline study illustrating the static side and giving especially for new users a general view of sumo. In this paper, using UML design diagrams, in particular class diagrams and call graphs, we present a new SUMO description with a package diagram giving a general view and class diagrams specific to each module.

Keywords

sumo architecture, microscopic simulation, traffic modelling, sumo class diagrams, sumo structure.
