J. Knizek, P. Tomsik, L. Beranek, M. Seifrtova, S. Micuda, M. Rezacova

IC_50 is a very widely used biochemical and biological quantity. This paper shows some important aspects regarding the practical computing of IC_50 from the point of view of probability and applied statistics. A sharp, innovative approach, based on precise mathematical interpretation of biophysical relations, is the main idea of this paper. Significant practical rules were determined for IC_50 using. Conclusions were also demonstrated on real data from medical biochemistry.
