Unsteady Flow of a Dusty Fluid Through Porous Media between Annulus of Two Hexagonal Channels

B. J. Gireesha, K. R. Madhura, C. S. Bagewadi

Abstract

An unsteady motion of a dusty fluid through porous media between two hexagonal channels has been considered. It is assumed that the fluid and the dust particle clouds are static at the beginning. The flow is generated due to the influence of time dependent pressure gradient. The analytical solutions are obtained by solving the partial differential equations using variable seperable and Laplace transform methods. Further the effects of porosity parameter, time and number density of the dust particles on the components of velocity of both fluid and dust particles are studied with the aid of graphs. Finally, the expressions for skin-friction are obtained at the boundaries.
