Flow of an Unsteady Dusty Fluid through Hexagonal Channel in Presence of Porous Medium

K.R. Madhura, D.S. Swetha

Abstract

An unsteady motion of a dusty fluid through porous media of a hexagonal channel induced by a time dependent pressure gradient is considered. The governing equations have been solved using Laplace transform and variable separable technique for different flow generating mechanisms. The effects of porosity parameter, time and number density of the dust particles on the components of velocity of both fluid and dust particles are studied with
the aid of graphs. Finally, in each case the expressions for skin friction are obtained at the boundaries.

Keywords

Dusty fluid flow, hexagonal channel, laminar flow, velocity of fluid and dust phase, exponential and linear pressure gradient, porous media.
