Optimal Control of DC/DC Converter Using Improved Model-free Adaptive Control Algorithm

Qiang Zhao, Chang Cui

Abstract

DC/DC converter is very difficult to accurately identify the dynamic process model parameters and establish the precise mathematical model of the system. Traditional model based control methods have great limitations of solving the problems of model mismatch. Model-free adaptive control is a kind of controller design methods which needs less knowledge of mathematical models and relevant prior knowledge, and only needs the I/O data to design the controller. In this paper, in order to solve the problem of parameter design of MFAC, a method of MFAC based on online Particle Swarm Optimization is proposed to optimize the parameters of MFAC design and improve efficiency. Buck converter as the research object in the MFAC algorithm for the simulation and experimental verification, simulation and experimental waveforms show model-free adaptive control method practicality and effectiveness.
