Centroid Localization Algorithm with Dynamic Multi Center Reference Nodes

Songhao Jia, Cai Yang

Abstract

Aiming at the problem of poor performance of traditional centroid localization algorithm in nonuniform node distribution area, this paper presents a centroid localization algorithm with dynamic multi center reference nodes (MCCLA). Firstly, the algorithm selects some qualified anchor nodes. Then, anchor nodes area is divided into multiple sub regions by boundary points. Comparison RSSI values of sub region centroid nodes and the unknown node, element of meeting close degree is placed in the set P. The other elements in the set are processed in the same way. Finally, the set P is ordered by the close degree value, and the first element is the coordinate of the unknown node. Simulation results show that, compared with the traditional centroid localization algorithm, the performance of MCCLA is greatly improved, and it also has good performance in the random node distribution region.
