BM3D Based on Affine Transformation and Projective Transformation for Image Denoising

V. Rabila, G. Bharatha Sreeja

Abstract

In this paper block matching and 3D filtering is used to recover the original image from the noisy image. In BM3 similar blocks are stored in a 3D array and 3D transformation is applied to a 3D array. There are two types of transformation that is affine transformation and projective transformation. Each transformation is having three types of interpolation and five types of pad method. The interpolation methods are linear interpolation, cubic interpolation, nearest neighbor interpolation. The pad methods are fill, bound, circular, replicate, symmetric. The performance of affine transformation and projective transformation are analyzed by calculating PSNR, MSE, SSIM, Elapsed time.
