Numerical Analysis of Rotary Joint Channels for Waveguide

The purpose of this research paper is designing a different kind of six channel rotary joints. Rotary joints consist of several types of transmission channels such as radio frequency, power, media and data channels. The double-ridged waveguide is exploited to increase the bandwidth of the operation. The idea is design of double-ridged waveguides for the proposed technique is presented. Based on this technique, an ultra-wide band six-channel rotary joint is designed for a 10 GHz Bandwidth of frequency range. A numerical tool is used to improve the geometry of the proposed six-channel rotary joint to accomplish a minimal size, extensive bandwidth operation, and little insertion loss. Simulated results demonstration the insertion loss and VSWR for all channels over the entire frequency range.
