R. Praveen Kumar, M. Dhamodaran, S. Jegadeesan

Abstract

This paper describes the evaluation of the cutoff wave numbers of higher order modes of eccentric circular coaxial waveguides employing the Finite Element Method. Eccentric circular coaxial waveguides have been subdivided into triangular subsection meshing. An eigenvalue equation expressed in terms of matrices obtained from a set of simultaneous equations which are satisfying the boundary conditions are used to derive the cutoff frequencies.. This method and its variations are very suitable and efficient for the computation of electromagnetic field problems in eccentric circular coaxial waveguides. The finding of our study shows that the finite element method more accurate method.
