Abstract

Steganography is the art of dissimulating information in digital media such as audio, video and images. In this paper, an image steganography scheme based on the Haar discrete wavelet transform is proposed, the secret message is dissimulated in the transform domain. Precisely, in the integer part of the coefficients to avoid the loss of data during extraction. Data is hidden in the K-least significant bits of the details to increase the capacity of hiding. The error between the input and the output images is optimized by hiding in the nearest value to the initial coefficient. To test the performance of the proposed method, experiments on a variety of images were accomplished and results are compared to prior works based on the capacity and the invisibility.
