C(α) Expressions for Split Gaussian Frequency Trend with Illustration to Check Global Warming

Abstract



Scientists in particular and citizens in general ponder over an important question: has global warming already started? Do data support this worry? In a novel and innovative manner, this article develops suitable statistical expressions for new insight and clear understanding using so called Neyman’s C(α) principle and illustrates them with split Gaussian distributed temperature data to scientifically answer whether global warming has indeed started. Needless to mention is that global warming impacts seriously human health. This article introduces and explains new terminologies such as imbalance change point parameter to get a clear data insight and scrutiny of the evidence. Our results in this article confirm the findings from studies about the climate change in the literature.
