Mathematical Model for Calculation of Fat Sand Casing Cementing Strength

Abstract


Consider the support of fat sand to cement sheath, the value of shear experiment cannot accurately reflect the cementing quality between fat sand casing and cement sheath. Test the strength of each interface between fat sand casing and cement sheath, establish the mathematical model for calculation of fat sand casing cementing strength, and design testing device to test fat sand casing cementing strength, which is used to evaluate the fat sand casing cementing quality. The study results show that within the critical sand adhering density, the cementing strength of fat sand casing increases linearly with the fat sand density increasing. The maximum fractional error between the mathematical model result of fat sand casing cementing strength and the experimental value is only 4.33%, the mathematical model is accurate and practical.
