Construction and Selection of One Plan Suspension System with Consumer Quality Levels

K. K. Suresh, V. Sangeetha

Abstract

In acceptance sampling, the procedure for the construction of sampling plans indexed through various parameters such as MAPD, AOQL and MAAOQ are provided. As the plans indexed through MAAOQ provides lesser sample size and more probability of acceptance to the producer and the plans indexed through AOQL needs higher sample size and more discriminating power to the consumer, a sampling plan is required which safeguard the interests of both producer and consumer. This paper deals with new procedures for designing one plan suspension system with single sampling plan as reference plan indexed through maximum allowable percent defective and maximum allowable average outgoing quality level. Tables and illustrations are also provided for the selection of the plan parameters.
