Construction of Double Sampling Plan Using Convex Combination of AOQL and MAAOQ

R. Radhakrishnan, M. Mallika

Abstract

In the literature of acceptance sampling, the procedure for the construction of sampling plans indexed through various parameters such as MAPD, AOQL and MAAOQ are provided. As the plans indexed through MAAOQ provides lesser sample size and more probability of acceptance to the producer and the plans indexed through AOQL needs higher sample size and more discriminating power to the consumer, a sampling plan is required which safeguard the interests of both producer and consumer. In this paper a procedure for constructing a Double Sampling Plan indexed through a parameter (AOQcc) which is a convex combination of AOQL and MAAOQ with gain parameter is given. These plans may safeguard the interests of both producer as well as consumer by properly choosing a right combination with the gain parameter. Table is also constructed for the easy selection of the plans.
