Estimation of Population Means Based on a Bi-variate Sample in the Presence of Partial Non-Response and Unit Non-Response

B. B. Khare, P. S. Jha

Abstract

In this paper, we have proposed estimators for population means on the basis of data available from bi-variate sample when partial and unit non-response both are present in the data. The expressions for the bias and mean square error of the proposed estimators are obtained and their properties are studied. The determination of sample size has been made in case of fixed cost and also for a specified precision. An empirical study has been considered to support the problem.
