Determination Return to Scale in Supply Chain Management via DEA

Abstract



The decision and the decision making is the most critical part of the work of managers. Also aware of the decision has always been a challenging problem for managers. While effective manager’s addition to this matter, seek opportunities that having them in order to achieve the main objectives of the organization and increase competitive advantage, take more effective steps. Data envelopment analysis, is a powerful tool for calculating performance and evaluation of the performance of DMUs which can be used to topics such as evaluate the performance of the business, engineering, and management. Therefore, data envelopment analysis method is very convenient and efficient in effective decisions of organization managers. But in many models of DEA, inter-organizational relationships are waived, and DMUs are considered as a black box. Given the importance of supply chain in management decisions, the discussion of return to scale in the supply chains is described.
