Dodecahedron as the Basis of a Digital Panoramic Image Development from Several Sources
Abstract
The article deals with the main aspects of a digital panoramic image development in the case of a uniform sphere filling with photo and video cameras located in the center of the dodecahedron faces inscribed in this sphere. The crossing the camera visual region located along the dodecahedron faces form unique frames in the shape of pentagons. The calibration model and the model of panorama image development are proposed taking into account the minimization of computational procedures and an effective implementation of the algorithms using PLD (Programmable Logic Device).
