The Modelling and Simulation of Order Processing System based on Queuing Theory

Min Hong, Honglu Liu

Abstract

Modelling and simulation based on agent is a new method to investigate in the field of logistics. This paper makes some reasonable assumptions and analyzes the order processing system in the view of queuing theory. On this basis, the conceptual model of the order processing system is built based on queuing theory. Using Anylogic simulation platform, the simulation model is built based on queuing theory and agent based modelling. Moreover, this paper introduces a dynamic adjusting algorithm based on service desk to optimize the queuing system. The simulation experiment results show that such a dynamic adjusting algorithm can reduce the waiting time and increase efficiency of order processing.
