Container Yard Optimization Research Based on Utilization Rate and Transposition Rate

Abstract


The optimization of container yard planning has become one of the research focuses in container ports. Transposition rate is an important index reflecting the rationality of yard planning. This paper presents a method of quantitative analysis on utilization rate and transposition rate in container yard on purpose of container yard optimization. Through analysis on relevant data of Whampoa, the relationship between utilization rate and transposition rate is found and some suggestions are presented.
