Diagnose Learning Misconceptions Based on Rough Sets

Abstract


Recently, rough sets has been used in the educational technology. In this paper, learning misconceptions were diagnosed based on rough sets. First, to determine the misconceptions’ domain and find out the core of students’ misconceptions by using the conceptions of knowledge reduct and core in the rough sets. Then based on the combination of rough sets for selecting the range including misconceptions’ domain is not only to diagnose learning misconceptions, but also to enhance teaching effectiveness.
