A Distributed Water Treatment Control System Based on Wireless Sensor Network

Chang Xu

Abstract

Using PID control method, the automatic water treatment control system can carry on effective control on each process of raw water treatment and get the effect of water purification which can meet the national standard. Due to the limitations of the distributed characteristics of the water purifying processes and the means of real-time data acquisition, our country is usually adopting the open loop control for the automatic water treatment control system, which can’t adjust the reagent dosing according to the real-time effluent effects. What’s more, the present system is mainly relying on the experience formula and lack of scientific modeling method. This research put forward a kind of water treatment control system based on distributed wireless sensor network technology. The system establishes system conceptual model and mathematic model of control algorithm through analyzing all variables relationships in the water treatment processes. At the same time, the wireless sensor network will feed back the real-time data collected by the sensors distributed in each process to the control system. The above processes can form a closed loop control in the water purification and achieve satisfying results.
