A Method of Binomial Distribution Lower Probability Confidence Limit Solution by Using Newton Iteration Theory

Abstract


The algorithm of solving the calculation of the lower probability confidence limit of binomial distribution is put forward with Matlab programming techniques by using numeric iteration method. A method to choose the initial value is proposed, and the initial value problem which is a sensitive issue is solved. This algorithm can solve the calculation of the Lower Probability Confidence Limit for Success or Failure products at any quantity, any number of failures, and any confidence level. The precision of the result is higher than the look-up standard-given data, and by the method, data which can’t be found in standards in projects can be supplemented.
