Robust Guaranteed Cost Control for Networked Control System with Actuator Failure

Qixin Zhu, Kaihong Lu, Yonghong Zhu

Abstract

Based on time delay of the network transmission environment, the networked control systems (NCS) affected by the time delay is modeled as a discrete system with uncertain parameters. Combining robust control and guaranteed cost control, the robust guaranteed cost control problem in NCS is studied when actuators failure occur. Using Lyapunov stability theory and linear matrix inequality (LMI) approach, a sufficient condition, which make the closed loop networked control system with actuators failure be asymptotically stable and meet the requirements of comprehensive performance indicator, is derived. Moreover, the method of designing robust guaranteed cost control of such networked control systems is proposed based on LMI. Finally, simulations are included to demonstrate the theoretical results.
