Kanai-Tajimi Model for the Detection Seismic Responses of Suspension Bridges

Wei Zhang, Liangliang Zhang, Qi Li

Abstract

In order to further research on detection of the seismic responses of suspension bridges, the acceleration power-spectrum density function of Kanai - Tajimi model was calculated according to the relationship between the acceleration of earthquake and the power-spectrum intensity, and the displacement, stress and acceleration of the key parts were obtained as well as the relationship between corresponding acceleration response power-spectrum curve and the natural frequency of vibration of suspension-bridges by applying the model to the random seismic analysis of suspension bridge, which can provide reference for suspension bridge anti-seismic fortification.

Keywords

suspension-bridge, kanai-Tajimi model, response spectrum, power-spectrum intensity.
