Hybrid Genetic Algorithm-based Workflow Scheduling in Cloud Environment

Chengfeng Jian, Chunxia Pang, Fang Li

Abstract

Aim at the long time of the processing time about tasks in cloud environment, a cloud workflow task scheduling algorithm based on the hybrid genetic algorithm is put forward. It uses the virus evolutionary mechanism with genetic algorithm to complete the optimization of the task scheduling. This algorithm can increase the diversity of the individual of the population workflow, and avoid premature convergence and earliness phenomenon of the main population workflow. And it has a better effect so as to reduce the time of the task scheduling. Through the CloudSim simulation platform, the experimental result shows that the hybrid genetic algorithm has the advantages of optimization ability and taking the less time, and has effectively reduced the time spending of workflow scheduling.

Keywords
