Cyclic water flooding Numerical Simulation For fractured Sandstone Reservoir and the Permeability effect on water injection

YIN Daiyin, LIU Yingcong

Abstract

A mathematical model of cyclic waterflooding fractured sandstone reservoir was established. It espectively provided numerical solutions to both the mathematical model and the flow coefficient values. Cracks and the cycle matrix permeability were analyzed for the influence of Cyclic waterflooding posted onto fractured sandstone reservoirs. As indicated by relevant results, continuous water driving degree of reserve recovery ranged from 26.202% to 25.204% when the composite water cut is 90%. Cyclic waterflooding effect gradually enhanced, as the increasing degree of reserve recovery were 2.319%, 3.163% and 3.567%. Cycle water injection got more effective with the increment of fracture permeability, though they were smaller. When the fracture permeability and matrix permeability ratio by up to 20 times, the corresponding effects multiplied at about 10 folds.
