Simulation study on unit non response

Maryam Tagharobi, Sunil Kumar

Abstract

This article presents the usefulness of the Singh and Kumar’s estimators in practice for estimating the population mean of the study variable by using auxiliary variable in the presence of non-response. Singh and Kumar have considered large population and sample sizes for ignoring the effect of bias in the estimators to show the efficiency in terms of variances. In Simulation study, wehave considered biases while calculating the simulation mean squared error for different population and sample sizes, it sounds thatin some specificsituation the results have supportedthe theoretical study under various conditions of correlation coefficient, non-response rate and the sample size, respectively.
