Abstract

In this Research, we propose some innovative methodologies for sorting of medicinal plants.
The recommendedmethodologiesdiscover shape and texture properties of leaves. The concept of unclear theory and symbolic data analysis has been exploited for effective characterization and efficient representation of leaves. A chi-square distance measure and a symbolic resemblance measure have been extended to foundcloseness between leaves based on which the task of clustering and sorting is accomplished. Fusion of shape and texture features and two-stage sorting techniques have also been studied to achieve accurate sorting of medicinal plants.
