Soft Computing and LGXP techniques for Ear Authentication using Progressive Switching Pattern

Rohit Raja, Tilendra Shishir Sinha, Ravi Prakash Dubey

Abstract

In the present paper, Ear Authentication (EA) one of the most popular research problem has been carried out using knowledge based model. In the middle of the work for the proper scaling and rectification of the image a unique technique has been employed. The work has been carried out in two phase, training phase and recognition phase. In training phase , in training phase a knowledge based model has been framed using ANN and LGXP techniques. The methodologies that have been employed for the formation of model are IWT, ANN and LGXP techniques. In the second phase i.e. Recognition phase the EAR_MODEL has been understood for Ear Authentication. To support authentication process the recognition phase has been carried out using progressive switching pattern soft computing and LGXP techniques. For this an algorithms known as SCBEA (Soft-Computing based Ear Authentication)has been propose in the present paper and tested with 50 subjects. The result has been found very satisfactory with the tested data sets.

Keywords

Discrete wavelet transform (DWT), Ear Authentication (EA), Artificial neural network (ANN), Genetic algorithm (GA), Soft-Computing (SC), Progressive Switching Pattern (PSP).
