Some Estimation Procedures under Non-Response in Two-Occasion Successive Sampling

G. N. Singh, M. Khetan, S. Maurya

Abstract

The present work is an attempt to propose some estimation procedures under sub sampling of nonrespondents technique which are competent enough to minimize the effect of non-response in two occasion successive sampling. Utilizing the information on a dynamic auxiliary variable on both occasions, exponential type estimators of current population mean have been proposed and their theoretical and empirical properties are examined. Empirical results are analyzed and suitable recommendations have been made.

Keywords

Non-response, successive sampling, dynamic auxiliary variable, bias, mean square error, optimum replacement strategy.
