Two Phase Adaptive Visible and Invisible Watermarking of Digital Images in Hadamard Domain

P.V.S.S.R. Chandra Mouli

Abstract

A two-phase adaptive and novel watermarking scheme for digital images is proposed in this paper. In the proposed approach, a visible watermark is inserted in the non-saliency region in the first phase and an invisible watermark is inserted into the visibly watermarked image in the second phase. Watermark is inserted in frequency domain in both phases using Hadamard transform. The two phase watermarking system is more robust to all image processing and signal processing attacks and highly secured for protecting the copyright information. The proposed method uses an adaptive procedure for scaling factor(s) calculation and hence user independent. The experimental results and comparative analysis confirm the efficacy of the proposed method.
