Specialization: A New Way to Improve Intelligent Systems
Specialization is a feature existing in biological systems and human organizations which improves their processes, and allows optimizing the achievement of their objectives. This specialization, applied to artificial intelligent systems, such as multi-agent systems, optimizes resources and processes depending on the type of aims that are chasing. Determine the measure of specialization in an organization is an important factor to consider in order structure the organization according to the tasks or processes that each component performs. In addition, we must have in account the grade of cooperation between organizations according to the philosophy of business networks, and taking as an example this collaboration model, we can assimilate this organization model in artificial systems which collaborate with each other and thus achieve its objectives. To carry on the measurement of the specialization it has been necessary the implementation of an intelligent system in a real environment.
