Weighted Mukherjee Islam Distribution and Its Application

Abstract


In this paper, we derived a new weighted class of Mukherjee Islam distribution by taking the distribution function as a weight. The paper presents various mathematical and statistical properties such as moments, mgf, charecteristic function, stochastic ordering. we have also obtained exact expressions for various measures of uncertainities (like Renyi entropy,shannon entropy, Residual and past entropy). A frequentist approach, MLE and moments estimates as well as Bayesian approach was used to estimate population parameters. Finally, a real data set have been analyzed for illustrative purposes
