Goodness of Fit Testing for Rician Distribution by Using Several Estimation Methods

On the basis of class of beta generalized distribution, we propose a beta generalized rician distribution which contains four parameters in this paper. We derive expressions for the density function, cumulative function, moment generating function, asymptotic properties, order statistics, hazard and survival function and offer a mathematical treatment of the proposed distribution. We use the methods of least square and maximum likelihood for the estimation of the unknown parameters. Further we also studied the exponentiated form of the proposed distribution. The flexibility and usefulness of the proposed distribution and its exponentiated form over the baseline distribution is illustrated by a real data set of monthly average wind speed.
