A numerical evaluation of radiation from dipole antenna based on a set of wavelet functions

Saeed Hatamzadeh, Zahra Masouri

Abstract

In this paper, an extensive analysis of cylindrical dipole antenna is performed. The problem is modeled by an integral equation of the first kind. An effective numerical approach for solving the equation is evaluated by using a set of wavelet basis functions. The accuracy of the method is checked on some examples. The radiation problem is treated in detail and illustrative computations are given for current distributions and radiation patterns.
