A New Class of Distribution: Statistical Properties and Applications in Real Life

Abstract



In this paper, a new class of distribution is proposed. This model is a better alternative in those situations where the data have non-monotone hazard functions. Various properties of the model such as moments, conditional moments, moment generating function, characteristic function, cumulant generating function, mean deviation about mean, mean deviation about median, quantile function, order statistics. Also the expression for Renyi and Shannon
entropies have been derived. The maximum likelihood estimation procedure is used for the estimation of the parameters. To the superiority of the proposed distribution, five real data sets are used.
