Mainlobe Analysis in Wide Band Array based on Array Weighting using FRFT Low Pass Filter

This paper presents the new approach to the frequency domain of wideband Linear Array, using elemental low pass filter through Fractional Fourier Transform (FRFT). This approach attempts to overcome the main drawbacks of distorted spectrum at the received signal and the variations of main lobe pattern with respect to input frequency variations. In this approach, low pass filter (FIR) is designed by using different windows like Hamming, Kaiser- Bessel, and Nuttall weight methods. Thus the performance of the low pass filter is evaluated by main lobe detection using different window methods.
